Saturday Sonata Script – Issue #19

Giving you a peek into the past week for me and Sonata Home Design. The week in review, my favorite finds on the web, and just a little “this and that.” I always want to give you great ideas, inspiration, creative motivation, light bulb moments, and a hearty “You can do it!”

I know I am not alone in my passion for home decorating, crafting, and nesting. So, please join me each week for this creative Saturday jolt!

Spring is REALLY here and I couldn’t be happier!

Tulips are my absolute favorite flower so I couldn’t resist photographing them on a beautiful sunny day! I just wish they lasted longer!

Spring flowers are a reminder that beauty is everywhere…sometimes you just have to be patient to see it!

This Week’s Hustle and Bustle

Back in the saddle…the teaching saddle, that is!

It was just subbing for one day but it was so much fun to see familiar students and former colleagues.

This was my office for many, MANY years so I had a little deja vous moment with this photo!

It’s About Time!

I’m almost embarrassed to show this photo. Our backyard gates have been broken for …

…ahem…

…years!

and our solution has been…

…ahem…

…bungee cords!

Finally, new gates have been ordered and hopefully installed next week. I can’t wait!

I’ll be sure to show you the new gates!

After a Year…

It’s been a year since I bought this chair at the local ReStore.

And (finally) the makeover begins.

The textured water hyacinth sides and back will remain the same but the frame and cushions are getting a total refresh.

Yes, you guessed it…with some color!

This is the fabric for the cushions. If you can believe it, I don’t have a pink chair. It’s about time, don’t you think?

Go big (or go pink!) or go home!

Huge thank you to my mother-in-law who is an expert seamstress and is doing the sewing for me. I will take care of painting the frame and the upholstery part of the project. Stay tuned…there will be a fun surprise with this upholstered chair!

Bentley

No big news with Bentley other than he got a major haircut.

Now, instead of a sheep-a-doodle, he looks dalmation-ish!
