How to Clean and Repurpose Candle Jars

Don't throw out a used-up candle jar. Clean and repurpose!

Put your used jar candle in the freezer for at least 2 hours.

Remove the jar from the freezer and, with a knife, gently pry the wax from the inside of the jar.

The frozen wax will break and can be easily removed from the jar.

Once clean, repurpose by filling with Epsom salts for the bath.

Fill repurposed candle jars with make-up brushes.

A candle jar makes an amazing planters for indoor plants...

and a beautiful vase for fresh or faux flowers!

Store dishwasher pods by the kitchen sink in an upcycled lidded candle jar.

Paint the lid of a candle jar and glue a used wine cork to the top for a handle with form and function!
